EarthCare Update and Events Coming UP

Hi Friends, 

There are a few upcoming events that members of our group may want to participate in: 

Saturday, May 31, 10:15 am: Resist!: Human Banner & Aerial Photo at Main Beach, Santa Cruz. A fun way to stand in our values and support Pride, Trans-rights, and anti-fascism. 

June 10th, 12-1:30p.m. Earth Care Group Meeting, SCZC, led by Rene and Anita. 

Tues June 10, 7-9pm. Movie at El Rio: We Are Guardians. The film is an enthralling and gorgeous portrait of a landscape in peril, detailing the Indigenous struggle to protect centuries-old trees and other resources that are being illegally removed from the Amazon. Several sangha members are going. 


Saturday, June 14th, 10-11:30am. No Kings Day and Juneteenth Rally. (Anti-fascism Rally). 

  • Join us at 10am for a short rally at Upper San Lorenzo Park (Duck Pond Stage). We will then march from the park on the sidewalk on Dakota Ave. to Soquel Ave. and then up Ocean St. to the Santa Cruz County building. 

May we bring forth compassion and wisdom as we express our Bodhisattva vows.
